Näive Sense (Last Show)
"Minneapolis noise punks Näive Sense are one of the most aggressive acts to represent the Twin Cities in the last five years. Their November LP Art Failures is full of absolutely punishing vocals and menacing guitar harmonies that make the trans-fronted hardcore deconstructionists a confrontational listen. Though it might not seem like it at first listen, Näive Sense are an extremely calculated band. They've mastered the sub-two-minute song, distilling their discontent into edible chunks. They even have a song that, in a scant seven seconds, can set a PA system ablaze. When you pack that much firepower into a song with the runtime of a Vine, you're bound to blow up -- literally and figuratively." - Jerard Fagerberg
Typesetter
Typesetter
"Fans of '90s punk and indie have something to look forward to as Chicago's Typesetter bring their brand of bombastic emo-punk to Louisville. Touring in support of their soon-to-be-released 7-inch, Typesetter emphasizes melody over creating a sound that is equal parts Hot Water Music, Jawbreaker and Archers of Loaf. Self-described as brewgaze, Typesetter ably embody the working-class aspects of punk/indie not only as blue-collar punk crusaders but also in their simplistic approach to composition that seems to privilege having fun and enjoying the moment." —Syd Bishop (LEO WEEKLY, Louisville KY)
Hive
Hive
Hive began as the brainchild of Mike Paradise and Morgan Carpenter in early 2014, with a vision to combine the caustic, legendary Minneapolis sound of 90's crust with influences from Pacific Northwestern dark hardcore and Swedish d-beat. The band began performing live by the end of the year. In 2015 the band recorded their first self titled, six song EP, originally released digitally and on cassette and then self released by the band as a limited edition 12” vinyl EP. During this time Hive also contributed music to a Razorcake Twin Cities featurette, and to Cvlt Nation’s tribute to the Dead Kennedys’ classic album ‘Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegetables.’

The following year Hive self recorded their debut full length LP ‘Parasitic Twin’ which embraced the natural progression of their gravitas sound while building atmosphere around the private black cloud of d-beat. The album was released in April 2017 as a limited pressing LP through Crown And Throne Ltd.
