Sun Gods to Gamma Rays
Sun Gods to Gamma Rays
Sun Gods to Gamma Rays (SGGR) is a moody and rhythm-based dream pop band hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota. With Paul Flynn on guitar, Brian Gollnick on bass, Peter Bregman on Rhodes, Mitch Miller on drums and front woman Brianna Kocka, Sun Gods to Gamma Rays creates vast soundscapes framed around solid grooves. Joe Kellan of the Minnesota Daily said, "Each pulse of the bass paired with Kocka's fragile coo is as hypnotic as it is comforting." It is on top of these smooth bass lines, twinkling Rhodes, washed out guitar, and minimalist drumming that Kocka's vocals drift over the mix in a wave of reverb and wash, creating the ethereal sound that has defined this young band.

Sun Gods to Gamma Rays released their EP, "The Water, The Wave" on November 5, 2013. They then released a remix of their EP on July 8, 2014, featuring remixes by Paper Tiger (Doomtree), Graham O'Brien (No Bird Sing), Grant Cutler (Look Book, Weird Visions), Mark McGee (Marijuana Deathsquads, Votel) and their very own bassist DJ Plosives. Following the release of their remixed EP, they will release their first full length album, titled "A Ghost To Find" on November 4, 2014, with a release party November 7th in Minneapolis, MN.
Good morning:

I started a band called TYTE JEFF. The band is based in Minneapolis, MN.

The band features Matt Johnson (drums), Josh Syx (guitar), Tecon Johnson (piano) and Aaron Ripplinger (bass) and me, Jeff Allen (guitar).

I also made a record. It is an EP called the TYTE JEFF EP. It has 6 songs and will be “released” (so much as things are “released” in this day and age) in early 2014. In the meantime, SOMEONE has “LEAKED” a “track” off of this “jawn.” As soon as I find out who is responsible for this LEAK I will def deport them Snowden-stylez. Probably some HACKER TEEN. OOOOOOHOHOHOH I GET SO MAD AT THESE HACKERS YOU GUYS. Really chaps my hide.

Well, since the track is out in the wild now, I guess I will try to promote it. Please see the embedded link below that looks like a highly cool reflected mountainscape. When you click on the mountains the mountains will subsequently play the LEAKED TYTE JEFF track entitled “Loose Crowns.”
Crossing Guards
Crossing Guards
Originally a recording project between Twin Cities songwriter Martin Devaney and Sean Hoffman, Crossing Guards grew into a live outfit that quickly booked headlining gigs at Twin Cities clubs and festivals, playing to thousands of people over the course of several months.
"Revenge of the Tall Boys" is their debut record, though everyone involved are veterans of the Twin Cities scene. Besides Devaney, the band includes Eric Kassel (The Magnolias), Steve McPherson (Big Trouble), Ryan Otte (Ol' Yeller, National Bird), and Hoffman (Mark Mallman, Faux Jean, Divorcee)
Freaky Teachers
Freaky Teachers:
A new project shrouded in secrecy... Get down early because they're sure to kick the poop out of yer pooper. If you're reading this far down you've either got vested interest in 'Freaky Teachers', a lot of time on your hands, or you just love to read! Bill (who fucking rules all bass) is in this band with a couple of brothers, or something along those lines, so it's sure to be cool.
